Photography Classess offered at Acclaimed Photography…… January 1, 2010
Acclaimed Photography is changing things up for 2010. We’ll be offering several photography classes during the year, starting in March (dates will be released soon). Some will be complementary and some will be offered at a small fee. Classes will require advanced registration and offered at the studio of Acclaimed Photography in Bothell. More classes will be offered, but here are a few that we already have in the works. All ages and skill levels welcomed. See descriptions below.
What Camera Should I buy?
- This class will explore several makes and models of cameras available today
- Come to this class to help you decide which camera may fit best for the type of photography you wish to pursue
- This class may be offered more than once a year

Basic Camera Operations –
- Ok, so you know how to turn your camera on. Now what? Over this three class series of Camera 101 we will explore your camera and it’s settings. (How to crop an image, adjusting your flash, exposure, camera settings, do I need a tripod?, lighting, angles, etc.).
- This will be a three-part series on a given date. The same students that start the class will end in the same class
- This class may be offered more than once a year

How to Take Better Photos of/at:
Explore some techniques of photographing in some challenging conditions, like:
- Sunset
- Birthday Parties
- Full Sun

Self-Assignments
- This class will offer a three-week series of challenges for budding photographers and serious hobbyists. Each assignment will be unique and challenging.
- Each week you will share with the class the image from the prior week’s challenge
- This class may be offered more than once a year

Print Critique
- This is a great class for the budding pro that wishes to take things up a notch by having their best work critiqued
- This class will offer a professional photographer’s point of view of your images
- You will submit 6 images and each one will be critiqued by professional photographer/s
- This class may be offered more than once a year

Photoshop for the Beginner:
- Explore what Photoshop has for you. Want to crop your photos, brighten them, darken them, re-size them to put on the WEB? Then this class is for you.

Special Kids Photography Workshop: March 2nd, 2009 in Seattle February 5, 2009

Special Kids Photography Class offered on 11-03-2008 September 4, 2008
Special Kids Photography of America, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, was created to train photographers how to photograph children with special needs.
On November 3rd, in this day-long accreditation workshop, photographers will learn the art of photographing children with special needs. Topics include: Discussing the photo session with the parents, using the correct language, lighting techniques, preparing your studio, how to communicate with the child, posing/seating, attention getter’s, and MORE. The fee of $199 includes the workshop, two books (one workbook), two short tests and the photo evaluation fee. After you have passed the photo evaluation your name will be listed on the SKPA website. I don’t know why I didn’t post this earlier??? Must have been all my time working on my studio…. just slipped my mind.
