Building on the theme of using flash here is a tip on reducing “red eye”. When you are in low light and people are looking directly into the camera use the red eye reduction flash setting on your camera. The red eye reduction setting emits a pre-flash, causing the pupils to contract, which reduces the light that can travel thru the pupil to be reflected back into the camera.
